KUALA LUMPUR: Former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad noted that the implementation of the camera Automated Enforcement System (AES) should be continued for the common good.
He said, urging the opposition to postpone the implementation of AES will only hurt the people.
"This good thing, if people want to make sense of a good thing is an issue, the people who will lose.
"If here (Malaysia) to do what you had to think going to win or lose the election, but everyone knows the system well as AES is outside the country," he said.
He was speaking at a dialogue organized by the University of Malaya symposium on Tuesday.
Dr Mahathir personally do not reject the AES in the country and it should not be delayed solely for the general election.
He said, the opposition questioned the government segaja for votes.
Meanwhile, when asked about the readiness of the National Front for the general election, he said it is up to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
"That do ask Datuk Seri Najib, I do not know she's ready to not," said Mahathir.
